 UNUSUAL STERLING SILVER EARRINGS. NATURAL BAROQUE PEARLS. LARGE TACTILE TRI-FLOWER FEATURE

Pearls are enjoying a great wave of popularity right now. Although the classic string of pearls is still around, designers are having fun creating modern and fashionable pieces using natural pearls in new and exciting designs. These earrings are really unusual. The two pearls are baroque, all natural and they have wonderful iridescence. The pearls are quite big - 10mm diameter - without being over the top. The interesting feature is the way the jeweller has created three separate very tactile, three dimensional flowers out of solid sterling silver and inter-lapped them to create a large and very pretty "stud" from which the pearls are suspended. It is all solid sterling but the jeweller has treated the top of the flowers with a gun-metal bonded finish and dipped the edges of the flowers with a gold bond. The result is a dramatic three colour piece of jewellery that looks great on! The stud flower feature measures 25 mm top to bottom and 28 mm across - quite big! If you measure from the top of the flower stud to the bottom of the suspended pearl, they measure a lovely long 40 mm. The earrings bear the hallmark 925 for sterling silver.
