Very unusual Vintage Artwork Signed J.M. Allen of a young lady

It's been made from some sort of material - it's visibly old and the material has some foxing spots to it Not sure if to classify this as a mixed medium or taperstrey

It's a material type backing then the artwork of the young lady is also some sort of material that has been created and placed on top of the backing if that hopefully makes any sense - I've never seen something like this

It appears Victorian or possibly early 1900's although the frame it's housed in is definitely not that old

Apologies for the photos as it's near impossible to take decent photos without light reflecting off the glass

Frame measures 59cm x 44.5cm

Artwork measures approx 52cm x 36.5cm

Expect some age related scuff marks around this frame
