SOLID STERLING SILVER RING MADE FROM SPOON!
4 grams! BEAUTIFUL FLORAL ROSE DETAIL
I've been watching an interesting trend in England lately! There seems to be a new surge of interest in turning vintage cutlery into beautiful pieces of jewellery. The idea fascinates me as each piece must have a hundred stories to tell! The more sought after pieces are the solid sterling silver items and solid silver cutlery is not as easy to come by as the more common silver plated cutlery. This ring is solid silver all the way (hallmarked) and has been hand-crafted into a beautiful ring that is easy to wear and completely different to off the shelf jewellery! The artist has chosen an item that has particularly intricate rose detail on the "head" that continues all the way around to the back of the shank.
It is well finished, fits snugly and definitely a work of art! I do need to point out that if you look really closely under the microscope, you can see the silver has been through a few hands before, but then, it is a vintage item! Its a good weight at 5 grams.
