Unusual vintage copper coated Kosmos Brenner kerosene lamp with chimney. This unusual lamp has a flat tank base, a small glass chimney and 2 columns that lead up to a round sleeve on the top. These may have been safety features to minimise it being knocked over. This would indicate that it may be a ships lantern or a desk lamp for a child. The lamp mechanism unscrews to allow filling of the tank. It stands 30cm high and 16cm in diameter. The lamp is most probably from the early 1900s, and is in good condition for its age - does not have a wick. Great buy for the collector.
