Additional Information

The First World War occupation of South West Africa by the Allied Forces, recorded as seen from a South African point of view. Some information such as in the case of aviation concerning the German planes was collected from local historians and then added to fit in with their S. A. counterparts. Exellent photo material has been selected and some of it published for the first time. In the limited time the author given to compile this publication, it is nevertheless a comprehensive publication on the human hardships and sufferings encountered during the unending marches through the barren country from the south to the north of the territory. Military historians will find many stories and reminiscences unpublished to date.
