Hardcover 4th edition copyright date 1926, published by Verlag Philipp Reclam jun, no jacket. The boards are handled, marked in places and edge-worn, with some fraying and bumps to the corners. There is a lengthy pen gift inscription on the first end paper, dated Berlin 1941. There is another pen inscription on the title page, possibly by the author. The top external page edges are shelf-dusted, but the pages are otherwise clean and unmarked. Illustrated with several line drawings, and four black and white and eight colour plates after art by the author.
