A VINTAGE BOXED PLANE MODEL KIT BY HELLERS OF THE US NAVY CHANCE VOUGHT F4U-1 CORSAIR. IN ORIGINAL BOX. PACKAGE STILL SEALED INSIDE.

The Chance Vought F4U-1 Corsair was a single-seat, carrier-capable fighter aircraft known for its distinctive inverted gull wing, powerful Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp engine, and versatile fighter-bomber role during World War II and the Korean War. Its unique wing design provided ground clearance for the large propeller and short, sturdy landing gear, and it was armed with six .50-caliber machine guns. The F4U-1 played a significant role in the Pacific Theater, earning the nickname "Whistling Death" from the Japanese for its distinctive sound, and proved effective in both air-to-air combat and ground support missions.

Headquartered in Trun, France, the company uses tissue paper for packaging its kits, which it claims is environmentally friendly and increases the recyclability of its products.
