Notes: Three covers match.
Provenance: I am gradually going through a huge collection of 78 RPM records that were inherited. Generally speaking the relative who passed on tried to take care of them, but over time as he became frail i think the sheer volume overwhelmed him. They were mostly stacked in piles in no particular order, excellent examples alongside material for the dustbin. I have tried to go through these as best I can, sorting records into proper covers where possible and discarding items that were beyond hope.
General note on condition: Unless otherwise notes, expect the condition to be played, with possible scratches, silvering from groove wear or storage etc. The records are old and as far I can tell were all played and enjoyed, with associated wear. Some may be in better condition than others. Some may have tiny wear on the rim and/or pen marks on the lable. Many covers may be replacements, mismatches or simply missing. PLEASE - if this general condition is going to cause an issue, rather do not bid. I honestly cannot grade any of these other than by sight. If you do spot a specific item you would like a closer view of, I will of course oblige, with caveats that I will not be sitting taking detailed close up photos of hundreds of records.
Postage: I have listed these with a high postage cost. This is to factor in weight for larger lots as well as volumetric mass, to facilitate bigger boxes while posting. These shellac records are brittle and heavy, they require special packaging which equates to bulk and weight. If you only buy a small number of records and wish to take the risk of breakage, using a cheaper postage method, contact me beforehand and we can discuss options.
