New Travels from the Interior Partsof Africa by the way of The Cape of Good Hope in the years 1783, 84 and 85 translated from the French of Le Vaillant in 3 Volumes with Map and 22 copper plates

A first edition 3 volumes with map and engravings printed by G G Robinson, London 1796

Interior bindings are tight and strong, map and all copper plates present, pages are agecoloured, Frontpage and rear covers are detached from bound books so some rebinding is needed, the previous owner of the books bookplate is on 3 of the covers being Charles George Smith of Durban a well known Durbanite sugar family Ilovo Sugar,a nice piece of Africana history
