Shortens Country House was very dissapointing! The room was mediocre, the service was poor and the food was shocking!
This on top of getting the "royal run-around" to try and confirm the booking, as no-one seemed to know anything. Poor show... Three Cities will never see us again.
On this booking, the central reservation clerk indicated to me that the price that I have mentioned in my e-mail was incorrect. After I explained that it was a bidorbuy price, she indicated that she first had to discuss this with a supervisor. I did not get any feedback except a confirmation of the time that I had reserved at the bidorbuy price.
I won the bid on 16 Jan, got a call from 3cities on Sunday 18 Jan. I sent email to them on 19 Jan with date of booking requesting details as to how things progress from here. Got another call from them on 21Jan, but no details. Nothing whatsoever happened since. I do not appreciate their commitment and am not concluding the deal.
They auction the lot very clearly at 2 people two nights and then billed me double the winning bid.( Which costs more than the going rack rate!) On showing all paperwork and proof still they insisted caused a fuss and quite frankly ruined what should have been a relaxing break. Thanks for all the stress three cities....
I have not been able to get any reaction from anybody at three cities despite having forwarded a reservation request on a number of occasions. However this may be because of the Christmas Period and have now sent a further
request today.
Great to bid at this price for two night's for a 40th birthday! Just had no response from threecities on my e-mails of 19/12 /2003 yet. They must be on holiday too! Hope to receive my booking confirmation soon! 24 December 2003
Bidorbuy.co.za was responsible for logging the site auctioning Quarter Guest House as per pictures and reference. They claim it was suppose to be Quatermain and admit there mistake. I this is how a large company whats there supposed"Client Relationship Management" to be handled then I am truely dissappionted and will never use either of this services again. Frustrated with response or lack of response from threecities. I have found that very frustrating as I need to repeat all my information all over again due to the fact that they don't know the original story of me winning the Bid or Buy bid.
When e-mailing a request though it take about 2 or more days to get a reply from threecities. I get quotes of rates for that period, not bearing in mind that I am paying the amount of my winning bid.
We have used our 2 days purchased for Khoka Moya. It was very good and the only negative comment is that the particular hut/chalet which was allocated to us seem to have seen better days. Having said that, it in no way detracted from the wonderful atmosphere of the lodge and the service offered. We will go again.
