Please note that this item is compatible w/ the SPYDER MR-series of carry handles (fits perfectly!) and provides a level Picatinny rail mounting surface, whilst still leaving your open sights available for use. You could have your sights zeroed for point blank and then your red dot for longer distances.. With a firearm AR-15, you'd probably want to avoid mounting your STRIKE-EAGLE on top of this, due to eye-relief, but for a red dot or medium eye relief optical device, this should be perfect, if BUIS isn't your style or if you just prefer old school 'black rifle' M4 like us!

* Does not optimally fit the TIPPMANN CHRONUS carry handle. The end result of that really looks like one "makes a plan", which looks really, REALLY makeshift. Rather remove the carry handle on that rifle as the rear sight is non-adjustable and add a red dot sight w/ a riser.
