Direct to Film Printing technology involves printing your design onto a film and then heat press it to a blank item. The process involves printing, adding powder to the back of the print, Drying and curing the print. After that you can transfer the image to a blank item. Advantages of DTF printing: 1. No weeding is required because only the ink transfer to the blank item. The film are removed after pressing. 2. You can print white. With the white ink it is possible to press bright vivid colour onto dark fabrics. 3. Unlike sublimation that can only be pressed to polyester and best results are obtained on light fabrics, DTF can be pressed onto most fabrics without a coating. This makes it perfect for custom design cotton fabrics and dark fabrics. To control the white ink you need RIP software. The software tells the printer where to print white and how to mix the colours. We recommend Acrorip or Cadlink. DTF prints are durable digital transfers. The combination of ink and film used determines the durability. The results provide strong washability, it feels soft and result in a cost effective printing method for print on demand and larger print runs. Manual powder applications can be risky, you need to apply the powder before the ink dry and you need to apply it evenly. To fuse the powder to the ink you need to use a heat source until its properly fused and then you need to cure it under your heat press. With our automatic printer the sheet or roll will feed through a shaker to apply the powder, feed through the curing oven and the feed it to the outlet tray. This result in minimum labor and less risk to damage the print or not applying and curing it correctly.
