Vareigated Vanilla Orchid Care Guide

🌞 Light Requirements:
Bright, indirect light is ideal to maintain the bold variegation. It can tolerate some gentle morning sun but steer clear of the harsh afternoon rays.

💧 Watering:
Water when the top few centimetres of the soil feel dry. These orchids like a slightly moist environment but won't enjoy soggy roots. Reduce watering during winter.

🌡 Humidity & Temperature:
High humidity is a must, so a bathroom or kitchen windowsill works well. Aim to keep it in temperatures between 18°C and 30°C.

🪴 Soil & Repotting:
For optimal drainage and healthy roots, you can use our premixed Aroid Mix, or you can create your own potting mix using Barks Unlimited Potting Soil combined with Perlite. When repotting, it's also helpful to incorporate Bark Chips to encourage airflow around the roots.

🌿 Feeding:
Use a Controlled Release Fertiliser for consistent growth over 6 months. You can also supplement with an organic feed like Terraplus Natura N during the growing season.

🪲 Pests:
Keep an eye out for scale or mealybugs. A good insecticidal spray will sort them out if needed.

This rare climbing orchid is one for the booksdramatic, elegant, and unlike anything else you'll find in the average home.
