Various - Zen Connection 2xCD in cardboard box

Zen Connection Review by AllMusic

Zen Connection Review by Chris Nickson

There are so many chill-out compilations on the market these days that any new one has to offer something special to stand out from the pack. Unfortunately, this two-disc set from Australia has nothing that remarkable up its sleeve. By its very nature, chill-out music should wash over you, to the point where you're almost unaware of it. This does that -- but it achieves its end mostly by having extremely bland music. A few cuts stand out, from Nitin Sawhney, Gotan Project, LTJ Bukem -- all people who've made their own reputations. As for the others, well, there's really nothing special happening here. Of course, the same is largely true for most chill-out compilations. You pay your money, and you take your choice.
