Antique mid to late 1800's L.Casella Brass and Leather two draw Telescope.

It has "E. Burmester", "L. Casella, maker to the Admirality and Ordnance, London" engraved on the brass shaft.

E. Burmester was a well known Silversmith, Watch and Jewelry maker - Cape Town in the late 1800's to early 1900's. A link to more information about him: pelteret.co.za/pdf/research_notes/e_burmester.pdf

Condition

The Telescope is in a very good condition for its age with all parts present and working. It has some wear and tear on the leather cover and some ageing on the Brass.
