Boost the reach of your outdoor Gigabit Ethernet PoE cable runs with the OUTREACH Max GXT Outdoor Gigabit Ethernet/PoE Extender from Veracity. Suitable for use with PoE-powered IP cameras, wireless access points, and other outdoor PoE-enabled network equipment, the OUTREACH Max GTX extender comes equipped with two Gigabit Ethernet ports and a weather-resistant IP66/67-rated enclosure. Compatible with PoE, PoE+, and custom PoE up to 90W, this wall-mountable extender can boost the range of a wired Gigabit Ethernet PoE connection by up to 328 feet, and you can increase that range by stringing more units together.
Simple Setup
Fitting the OUTREACH Max GXT is simple. The only connections are two RJ45 network ports, both of which are designed to self-configure for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, or 1000BASE-T operation. Because the OUTREACH Max GXT is POE-powered, no local power supply connection is needed, provided you're using the extender with a PoE-enabled equipment. An OUTREACH Max GXT can be located anywhere along the network cable, as long as no single length of cable is greater than 328 feet. For example, to extend the network connection between a Gigabit PoE switch and an IP camera to 558 feet, an OUTREACH Max GXT could be installed 295 feet from the switch. A further 262 feet of cable would run from the OUTREACH Max GXT to the camera.
PoE Power
The OUTREACH Max GXT enables network range extension to all POE devices that are compatible with IEEE 802.3af, which is the universal POE standard for low-power network devices such as fixed IP cameras. In addition, the OUTREACH Max GXT is also compatible with high-power standards such as POE+ (IEEE 802.3at), and even "4-pair" POE for 90W devices (IEEE 802.3bt). Note: OUTREACH Max GXT is designed for connection to POE-compatible equipment only. If POE power is not required, Veracity's OUTREACH Lite GXT (sold separately) should be used instead.

If PoE and Gigabit Ethernet network extension beyond 656 feet is required, more than one OUTREACH Max GXT may be installed in series. For example, a 984 feet connection between a PoE switch and a 10W IP camera can be achieved by fitting two OUTREACH Max GXT units at 328 feet intervals along the cable.
External Application
The OUTREACH Max GXT is specifically designed for external installation with guaranteed operation over an extended temperature range. Its rugged and streamlined enclosure features IP67 Nema 4X/6P-rated connector covers that assemble around conventionally terminated Cat 5e and Cat 6 cables. Easy-to-fit cable seals are ideal for cables with existing RJ45 plugs. The included detachable bracket allows for wall mounting.
