The combination of 8.5GB DVD+R DL capacity and LightScribe printable surface make this product unique. Two AZO recording layers on one side provide 8.5GB of Storage while the LightScribe printable surface enables direct printing from a LightScribe enabled drive - no printer required.

Verbatim Double Layer Discs provide a massive 8.5GB storage capacity. The double layer of recording has been made possible by the creation of a new substrate layer that sits in between each recording layer, that allows the laser beam to record on both layers. Once the first layer has been recorded, the laser re-focused to record on the second layer.

LightScribe direct disc labelling is using a disc to burn data onto, then flipping the disc over, in the same drive and creating a professional looking label that is laser etched onto the disc surface. Simple, just 'Burn, Flip, Burn' with LightScribe Direct Disc Labelling.

LightScribe version 1.2 DVD's can now record at 8x speed and the print time has been reduced by 30%. A DVD disc surface can now be labelled in 21 minutes (reduced from 35 minutes).
