Elizabeth (Elise) Muller (1919 -1985) was 'n Afrikaanse skrywer. Haar broer was ds. Gys Muller. Haar liefde vir skryf het 'n onverwagse hupstoot gekry toe sy siek geword het tydens haar eerste jaar aan die Universiteit van Stellenbosch. Haar eerste boek was Ek, 'n Samaritaanse vrou in 1941 en daarmee wen sy prysgeld van 100. Sy werk later as deel van die redaksie van NG Kerkuitgewers. Sy sien die werk as 'n roeping van God. Daarna was sy die hoof van redaksie, 'n pos wat sy 22 jaar lank beklee het. Sy wen ook die Hertzogprys vir prosa in 1957 met Die vrou op die skuit. Verhale en essays 1942-1981 - Elise Muller.
