This lovely hand painted sugar bowl from Vernon Kilns in California, USA, dates between 1942 and 1947. It is in the pattern called 'Chintz' The body is creamy with a floral swatch on each side of the bowl and two little sprays on the lid. The handle.
This bowl is in good overall condition; there is however a chip to the handle on the lid (see gallery). A very nice piece!

History | Vernon Kilns was the name used by Vernon Potteries, Ltd. The company, which started in 1931 in Vernon, California, made dinnerware and figurines until it went out of business in 1958. The molds were bought by Metlox, which continued to make some patterns.
