This large, beautifully made, very attractive silver-plated epergne centre piece is in lovely condition for its age and makes quite a statement. It has four removeable flower flutes - a large one in the centre with three smaller ones around it. These fit snugly into an ornate stand which is mounted onto a shallow dish or bowl that stands on three small, curved feet. It was manufactured in the early 1900's by well known silversmiths 'James Deakin & Sons' in Sheffield, England. The base is hallmarked 'JD & S' 'EPNS T4889.' Other than some minor wear in places to the silver plate and a minor dent to the tall flute, it is in very good condition. It stands 49cm high with a dish diameter of 26cm.
