VERY LARGE CHRYSOCOLLA, STERLING SILVER RING. COPPER ACCENTS
This will appeal to someone who likes their jewellery big and bold ... and the gemstones natural! It is a large ring, reaching 27 mm up the finger and stretching 26 mm across. Its an interesting design - hand-crafted - almost like five individual rings that have been bonded together. The entire ring is solid sterling silver and two of the ring band are copper, creating a fabulous contrast of colour. The gemstones are a deep green/turquoise chrysocolla stone. It looks very like the turquoise stone and in fact they are similar in structure, both being copper minerals. The stones are all cabochons, two of them pear shaped, two square and one round and they total just over 5 carats of gemstone. Its a heavy piece weighing in at 12,5 grams. Its big, its bold, its beautiful! The ring size is somewhere between an 8 and and 8/half. It is so wide in shank that its hard to be precise about finger size.
