This Is a very rare find. The teddy is in a very good condition for it's age. the golden yellow mohair is a bit faded but the original colour is still visible in the joints. The Ark bears were made in South Africa. This one has black glass 'Shoe button "Eyes and one eye is slightly loose. I think the eyes may have been replaced but no restoration has been done. I cannot feel a growler in the bear.
Rare 1950s -60's? Ark Teddy Bear 31" / 60 cm Tall! This is a very rare size in any bear, and Ark bears are not common either, so this is a special find if you like unusual vintage teddies! He is a heavy, large bear, firmly stuffed. He has the faux leather (Rexine) paw pads common to Ark bears,  their trademark design. . He has a lovely cute expression. He is quite an impressive bear on display! .
