VINTAGE HEAVY DOMED TURQUOISE, MARCASITE AND
STERLING SILVER RING. GEOMETIC DESIGN. 925

This impressive piece has a geometric design, and features beautiful marbled turquoise set in sterling silver and accented with marcasites. The opaque turquoise has a counterpoint of rust coloured marbling running through it; the complementary colour making the turquoise colour pop.The domed 22mm wide x 17mm wide ring head features a border of sterling silver with notched edges, and studded with claw set, round faceted marcasites. The focal point is a round turquoise cabochon surrounded by 4 curved individual segments, each with rounded corners, bezel set in sterling silver. Turquoise extends down the shoulders of the broad shank, again divided into 2, bezel set in the smooth polished silver. The shank narrows dramatically at the bottom for comfort, and features a groove that runs some of the way down below the turquoise, echoing the shape of the silver between the segments. Weighing a hefty at 7,95 grams and raised a spectacular 8mm above the finger, the piece makes a big statement. The ring is in excellent vintage condition and bears the 925 hallmark indicating sterling silver.
