VERY LONG PEARL NECKLACE WITH FEATURE LINK OF RUBIES SET IN GOLD-HUED STERLING SILVER

This unusually long (83cm) and splendid necklace has a striking feature link/pendant of natural pinkish rubies set in gold-hued sterling silver. The link/pendant features two matching pear-shaped horizontal gold-hued sterling silver elements that consist of a larger pear faceted ruby bezel set in the centre, bordered by 16 x round cut rubies claw set in a channel that has a textured nubbed border on the outside. The natural rubies are bright, pinkish and alive with interesting natural inclusions. The pearls are large, creamy and natural; lustrous against the bright pink and warm gold. The piece weighs a heavy 64.47 grams and bears the 925 hallmark indicating sterling silver. You can wear the ruby feature anywhere but I rather like setting it on one side on the collar bone or a little lower. Its nice to find a real pearl necklace this long! It is a truly elegant statement piece of jewellery with a clever design twist that makes it special.
