Antique, very collectible mellowed brass bull nose plane, full of character. Much rarer than the more common steel bull nose.

Not marked, but looks like a Holland. No cracks in casting. Mouth still nice and tight. Wooden infill intact, also looks like Ebony. Ebony wedge in great condition, nicely worn from old hands all these years past. Base is 95mm long and about 26,5mm wide. It doesn't have an iron, you'll have to make your own to your preferred specifications, typically 3mm thick.

Its history: This tool was owned by world-famous millwright Derek Ogden who acquired it in 1968 from Charles Chatham, an elderly Pattern maker who worked for an agricultural manufacturing company in Birmingham, England.Ogden bought the complete tool chest from Chatham and used the tools in his work of reconstructing and repairing old water and wind mills until 2006.

Please look at the pics.

I ship Postnet only, for R120.
