Very Rare Jewish WW2 Brooch of Remembrance with WW1 Pair to Gnr. T.W.N. Hitge, S.A.H.A.

Only 250 of these brooches were issued.

The items were received together, but it is not known if T.W.N. Hitge was family or a friend of the person who died during WW2.

The London Gazette of 13 July 1919 mentions a 2nd Lieutenant T.W.N. Hitge.

Another source mentions a Thomas William Nicholas Hitge as a member of the Royal Flying Corps.

Thomas William Nicholas Hitge (1893-1970) was Mayor of Potchefstroom and in the 1950s, the President of the Transvaal Law Society. (See his cemetery picture).
