Very Rare Solid Silver WW2 SA Airforce Navigator Mess Dress Lapel Badge.

A scarce WW2 South African Air Force Navigator's mess dress lapel badge in solid silver and enamel.  Note :  for some reason the original pin was soldered down and a new one added.  Perhaps for convenience? (please see pics).  However, the "SIL" (silver) stamp can still be seen below the original pin.
