Very scarce authentic BSAP British South Africa Police flag. Measuring 97cm x 180cm (1,8 metres long).

Cloth maker's mark: WILLIAM SMITH (RHOD) LIMITED, SALISBURY stitched onto the rope seam.

The flag appears to have been constructed in the following manner: A hole was cut out of the main blue flag. The centre panel with the yellow "lion" motif was then stitched onto the blue panel. The scroll section "PRO REGE PRO PATRIA PRO LEGE" was thereafter stitched onto the centre panel.

A very scarce flag !!
