This badge is 160 mm. high and measures 95 mm. across. The front of this flat badge bears the inscription "South Africa Suid Afrika 7714. A fair amount of chrome (30 x 35) has peeled off. On the reverse side the inscription " This badge is the property of the Automobile Association of South Africa and may not be used without authority / Hierdie wapenskild is die eiendom van die Automobiel Assosiasie van Suid Afrika en mag nie gebruik word sonder verlof nie", can be seen. Note that the top winged portion of the reverse side of the badge doesn’t show the "Suid Afrika" inscription as found on later AA badges. As per photo.
