The VIC-20 is an 8-bit home computer that was sold by Commodore Business Machines.
The VIC-20 was announced in 1980, roughly three years after Commodore's first personal computer, the PET.
The VIC-20 was the first computer of any description to sell one million units

The set is incomplete because I cannot find the casette tapes that came with it

I have also included the Start up guide as well as the following books: An Introduction to Basic: Part 1; VIC-20 Programmers Reference Guide and Brainteasers for the VIC-20
