I personally use these traps and they work exceptionally well in my opinion, I have found the scented pedal to work, but adding bait just attracts rats much quicker. I use Peanut Butter and Dog pellets, and find the dog pellets to be EXTREMELY effective, I just put a very small piece in the tiny bucket at the rear of the cheese plate, put a couple more around the trap and that works perfectly! placement is also very important, please read up on that.
