  VICTORIAN ANTIQUE SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND RING IN 9CT YELLOW GOLD

This collectable antique yellow gold ring features 2 x sapphires, flanking a central round cut sparkling diamond. The one sapphire is round faceted, royal blue, and claw set, the other is oval cut, and a gentle cornflower blue. Even though the gemstones are claw set, they sit flush with the smoothly polished, softly curved ring head, in square settings. The shank is narrow and simple, broadening on the shoulders with a stepped detail on each shoulder. The ring head is 13mm across x 6.5mm long, sits 2.5mm above the finger and weighs 2.51 grams. It comes from an antique jeweller in London. The only hallmark is a number but my authenticator put it at late Victorian. Definitely a ring with history!
