Victorian 'Bone-Handled' Meat or Bread Fork
This great quality, antique, silver-plated meat or bread fork from the late 1800's, has a super weight and is in excellent condition. It has a 'bone' (with grain) handle, with a short wide three-pronged fork, which has been beautifully engraved with a floral pattern on the one side, and the company's hallmarks on the other. The fork was made in Sheffield, England by silversmiths 'Henry Wilkinson & Co.' (H.W.&Co) prior to 1892, when the company was bought out by 'Walker & Hall'. The fork is ideal for serving cold or sliced meats and measures 23,5cm in length, with a width of 4,3cm at its widest, and weighs115g.
