This antique safe dates from the second half of the nineteenth century. It has a metal plaque on the front for J. Cartwright & Son, West Bromwich, Est. 1840. The safe has nice rounded edges and retains its original paintwork, a red / brown colour with decorative line paintwork to the front. The safe retains its original brass handle and fittings, and retains one original key for the main door. The lock is in good working order. Inside the safe is an open section with a drawer underneath. Please note that there are no keys for the drawer lock, but it is unlocked.
