Victorian crookneck ebonised walking cane with Sterling silver mount. I would date this old crookneck cane to 1895. The cane is ebonised, and has a Sterling silver crookneck mount. The cane is elegantly tapered, and is firm with some flexibility. The mount is hallmarked J.H (Henry Howell & Co Ltd - Jonathan Howell), anchor (Birmingham), lion passant (Sterling silver) and although the date letter is missing, I would date the crookneck mount to 1895. It measures 90cm in length. The cane is in very good condition for its age, but the silver mount has some wear and tear. Great buy.
