Victorian Gilded and Enamel Brooch/Pendant late 19th Century - Ref.JW/12
Possibly dating to around the late 1800’s is this very attractive gilded Victorian Brooch cum Pendant with green and white enamel.
This delicate style was typical of the Victorian era as well as the Danish ‘Marriage’ jewellery. Partly hand-made and part cast, the enamels would all have been done by hand.
It remains in excellent condition although some of the gilding at the back of the brooch is worn as is the gilding on the fine linked chain. If you can appreciate beautiful pieces as well as the history of this piece, this one is for you!
An unusual piece, it measures 35mm in width and 50mm in length.
