DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION
DESCRIPTION	4 exquisitely handcrafted Victorian lace collars framed together against a blue background and protected by glass. The frame measures 53 x 85 cm. The item you are bidding on is shown in the image above and 4 more images which illustrate it more closely follow below. Please ask a question if there is anything you are unsure about.
CONDITION	The item is generally in very good condition. There are a few small nicks on the frame, but it can be hung as is. The lace is also in very good condition and every one of the 4 collars is lovely and unmarked and undamaged.

NOTES
Exquisite lace collars in supremely collectable condition. Victorian lace collars of this quality and in this condition are seldom found.

At top left in the frame is an exquisite and charming child's collar. Round in shape with pointed outer edges. Very finely done with foliage images connected with intricate spider web like threading. In excellent undamaged condition.

At bottom left in the frame is a square bib - like collar. Smallish and probably meant to decorate the dress of a young girl. Reasonably plainly decorated in floral patterns with the edging expertly done in repeated scalloping. All sections are nicely connected in open intricate threading. A nice geometrically designed collar of the type very popular in the late Victorian period.

At top right in the frame is an exquisitely finely crafted ivory coloured collar. Gauze backed in parts and crescent shaped. Smallish and probably meant for a child. Expertly and flawlessly done with sections in single thread. In excellent condition. This one is good enough to have won first prize in the handcraft section at the annual agricultural show!

At bottom right there is another bib - shaped collar. Largish and with a design in which different floral patterns are connected by threading with largish open sections. The collar is clean and in excellent undamaged condition.
