Victorian Majolica Water Lily Pad Plate Attributed to Adams & Bromley England 20.5cm
Description
Beautiful late 19th century English majolica plate modelled as overlapping water lily pads with a raised central blossom. The rich emerald green glaze with darker veining and the pale flower centre are characteristic of Victorian naturalistic majolica. The underside carries an impressed mould number 12.
This design closely matches documented Adams & Bromley Pond Lily plates produced in Staffordshire during the Victorian period. While no impressed factory name is visible, Adams & Bromley pieces are frequently unmarked, and the modelling, glaze quality and size strongly support this attribution.
