A superb detailed and ornate late 19th Century cast brass pipe rack in the Rococo Revival style.  Of a heavy, fine quality, wall-mountable and in excellent condition with outstanding patina. Holds 6 standard-sized pipes.  Kindly view images above for more detail. The term Rococo was widely used to designate the artistic style of the early 18th century in Europe and especially France. Sinuous lines, intricate decoration, and both fanciful and naturalistic motifs characterized the style.  Revival of the rococo style was not restricted to a specific time period or place, but occurred in several waves throughout the 19th century.
