This large, antique, sterling silver Sash Jewel/medal is in excellent condition. This is one of the nicest jewels/medals I've come across the detail, gilding and workmanship is outstanding. A large 8-pointed star with a glazed silver gilt armorial centre. The points are engraved with a floral decoration and one point has the letters 'P.C.R.' There are English hallmarks on the back for London 1875, with a makers mark 'E.L.' It measures 8.8cm x 8.8cm and weighs 59.1g.
