This is probably one of the most loved and collected coins in the Western World. Being the largest English silver coin ever minted for general circulation; it weighs a hefty 28.2759 grams.
Please note that in contrast to the South African crowns of the 1940s and 1950s that were minted in 80% and later 50% silver, these large Victorian crowns were minted in almost pure (Sterling) silver.
Bar the mark on the Queen’s face, this coin is in Extremely Fine Condition in which it catalogues at 70 British Pounds (Well over a thousand Rand)
