Victorian Silver 'Dollhouse' Miniature Sofa (1899) 

This wonderful, solid silver, Victorian dollhouse miniature sofa is beautifully made with amazing repousse detail, featuring a lyre or harp in the centre surrounded with acanthus, floral detail on the back and sides. It stands on four cabriole legs with faces, below a Grecian styled edge all round. The front is stamped with English silver import hallmarks for London 1899, with the initials 'J.S' for 'John George Smith', who was an English silver retailer and importer in the late 1800's, and on the back, there are two continental silver makers marks. This attractive miniature sofa or couch is in great condition and measures 78mm x 30mm, stands 45mm high and weighs 37,8g.
