Victorian Silver-Plated Christening Mug 

This very good quality christening mug, from the late 1800's, has been beautifully chased and engraved with a floral and acanthus decoration. It sits on a round stepped base with a decorative acanthus leaf handle and has a lovely un-engraved large cartouche. The mug has a good weight and is probably silver-plated on brass. Other than some minor wear to the interior, it's in excellent condition. Because of the underlying quality, it can always be re-plated. It stands 8,5cm high, with a top diameter of 7cm, a base diameter of 5,4cm and weighs 137g.
