Victorian Silver-Plated 'Stilton Cheese Scoop' 

This lovely, antique, silver-plated stilton cheese scoop has a beautifully carved 'bone' fluted handle and is exceptionally well made with wonderful detail. The stem has a twist design in the centre, with a lovely floral engraved pattern above and below the twist. The pretty ferrule is decorated with bunches of grapes, vines and leaves in relief. The scoop was made in Birmingham, England in the late 1800's by silversmiths 'Thomas Wilkinson & Sons' (T.W&S),and is in excellent condition, with nice clear hallmarks and no wear to the plating. It measures 28cm in length and weighs 105g.
