Victorian Sterling Silver Teaspoons & Tongs (Cased) 

This lovely, antique, cased set of six, very attractive solid silver teaspoons and tongs from the late 1800's are in excellent condition. The bowls of the spoons are beautifully decorated with a wonderful embossed floral decoration, and the handles feature 'Apostle' terminals. They were made in 1897 by well-known silversmiths 'Mappin & Webb' in Sheffield, England. The set comes in its original fitted presentation case, lined with brown velvet and light brown silk, with the wording 'Mappin & Webb' 'MANUFACTURING GOLDSMITHS & SILVERSMITHS, OXFORD STREET, LONDON'. The spoons measure 12cm in length and together with tongs weigh 106,6g. The case measures 20cm x 14,5cm x 3cm.
