First, battery charging will automaticallybe reduced when otherwise an overload would occur. The second level will boostthe output of a generator or shore side supply with power taken from thebattery. ESS: Energy Storage SystemsThe MultiPlus-II is the key component in a Victron ESS system, providing theflexibility to combine with MPPT Solar Chargers or Grid-tie PV Inverters. Remote Monitoring and ControlMonitor and control your Multi and system or systems' locally (LAN) or remotelyvia the internet from anywhere in the world, using the free VRM app and free VRMportal website. Access can be from a phone, tablet, laptop, or PC for multipleoperating systems. There is no end to the level of control, via the requiredColor Control GX or Venus GX, from adjusting your Multi to auto-starting a backgenerator and more. PowerControl and PowerAssist - Boosting the capacity of the grid or a generatorA maximum grid or generator current can be set. The MultiPlus-II will then takeaccount of other AC loads and usewhatever is extra for battery charging, thus preventing the generator or gridfrom being overloaded (PowerControlfunction).PowerAssist takes the principle of PowerControl to a further dimension. Wherepeak power is so often required only for alimited period, the MultiPlus-II will compensate insufficient generator, shore,or grid power with power from the battery.When the load reduces, the spare power is used to recharge the battery. Solar energy: AC power available even during a grid failureThe MultiPlus-II can be used in off-grid as well as grid-connected PV and otheralternative energy systems. It iscompatible with both solar charger controllers and grid-tie inverters. Two AC OutputsThe main output has no-break functionality. The MultiPlus-II takes over thesupply to the connected loads in the event of a grid failure or whenshore/generator power is disconnected. This happens so fast (less than 20milliseconds) thatcomputers and other electronic equipment will continue to operate withoutdisruption.The second output is life only when AC is available on the input of theMultiPlus-II. Loads that should not discharge thebattery, like a water heater, for example, can be connected to this output. Virtually unlimited power thanks to parallel and three-phase operationUp to 6 Multis can operate in parallel to achieve higher power output. Six48/5000/70 units, for example, will provide25 kW / 30 kVA output power with 420 Amps charging capacity.In addition to parallel connection, three units of the same model can beconfigured for three-phase output. But that's notall: up to 6 sets of three units can be parallel connected for a 75 kW / 90 kVAinverter and more than 1200 Amps chargingcapacity.
