Vintage 18ct Gold and Diamond Ring by Engel Brothers, USA
The vintage 18ct yellow gold with ring with white gold bezel is in a 1960s style with an unusual bezel. A diamond (circa 0.25ct; colour I-J; clarity SI1) is claw set onto a high, fluted, bezel. As it approaches the shoulders, the shank widens and flattens to hold the bezel. The ring is marked 18Ct; EB (in diamond shaped surround); MRKJ1437. The EB mark is the registered mark of Engel Brothers of New York, USA. The company was formed in the 1930s and is still in operation. MRKJ1437 is presumably a design code.
