Vintage 18ct Gold, Diamond and Sapphire Ring

 

The vintage, hand-made 18ct yellow gold ring is in a somewhat modernist style. It has octagonal bezel set with a central round, brilliant-cut diamond (approximately 5.2mm diameter circa 0.50ct; colour I/J; clarity SI2) in a rub-over setting. The central diamond is surrounded by eight claw-set, brilliant-cut diamonds (approximately 2.6mm diameter circa 0.48ct total) and four round-cut dark blue sapphires (approximately 2.1mm diameter circa 0.16ct total). The ring is marked "S.W; 18CT", where "S.W" is an unidentified maker's mark.
