 GLORIOUS VINTAGE 18CT YELLOW GOLD AND PLATINUM RING OF SAPPHIRES AND DIAMONDS. *JEWELLER EVALUATION R14'000*

This gorgeous little vintage piece of English jewellery is crafted in both 18 ct yellow gold and platinum. It features a trio of blue, round faceted, claw set sapphires, 1 x 3mm diameter in the centre, flanked by 2 x 2,5mm diameter, separated by 2 x rose-cut diamonds. The polished 18ct yellow gold shank is narrow under the finger for comfort, broadening vertically to support the ring head and continuing into an openwork galley in platinum underneath the ring head, the platinum claws holding the gemstones. The ring head measures 3mm wide x 12mm across. The piece weighs 2,39 grams and bears many hallmarks, including 18 for 18 ct gold, the platinum mark, the jeweller signature and although there is no date mark, the font suggests a date around the 1940's and 1950's. I have had the piece appraised and evaluated by an independent jeweller, and her authentication and "valuation certificate for insurance purposes" of R14'000 will accompany the piece.
