Vintage 1940's 6mm EM-GE Gerstenberger & Co. Model 6 Blanks Pistol with Holster and Blanks.
German company EM-GE, Gerstenberger & Eberwein, made blank-firing starter pistols from 1945. This fine collector's example is in near mint condition, with its original magazine (ejector rail). It dates from the 1940's as it is stamped "Germany" as opposed to "West Germany" on later models. Included is a leather holster and a vintage tin of 6mm (.22) blanks.
The EM-GE Model 6 pistol is a well-crafted and highly reliable device. It boasts a sleek and ergonomic design, making it comfortable to hold and easy to handle for both professionals and beginners. The magazine (square ejector rail) holds 6 blanks. It inserts into the front of the pistol and automatically ejects out the back after the 6th shot. I have not test-fired the pistol with blanks (I have neighbours) but I have dry-fired it. The magazine inserts smoothly in the front and ejects as it should upon the 7th shot. Sits very comfortably and solidly in the hand.
The brand "EM-GE" stands for E. Moritz & Gerstenberger. Early production (c. 1936-1940), occurred in Zella-Mehlis. Following WW2, the company was restructured in Gussenstadt, West Germany.
